Welcome to the online home of Sutureself, the noisy little band that could. You'll also find lots of stuff about Todd Bryanton, because it's his site, and he likes writing about himself in the third person. He also likes recycling that joke about writing himself in the third person, because no matter how many times he uses it, it never gets old. Keep checking back for mp3s from the new album, "You Were the Sea."

NEW TRACKS :

Learning To Lie

You Were The Sea

Sleep Is The Enemy

Stars In The Sand

Crime Scene For Two

November 5th, 2006: Added a new track "You Were The Sea."

July 11th, 2006: Someone named Alice wrote in with a nice bit of fanmail...believe it or not, I'm not just mentioning this as a shameless ego boost. I wasn't able to respond because there was no email address listed on the comment but if you're reading this I just wanted to say thanks for the kind words!

June 19th, 2006: Added a nice new slab of 'angular' rock or whatever the kids are calling it these days: "Learning to Lie." I prefer the term 'trapezoidal rock' just so you know...it's more geometrically precise. Also, the Spring 2006 issue of Grain Magazine has just been released, and it features "Passion Play," a short story by yours truly. So go buy a copy and support your local starving artist.

May 30th, 2006: Added a new track, "Stars In The Sand." I also started a Sutureself myspace profile if you feel like posting public comments about my awesomeness.

YE OLDE NEWS:

May 23rd, 2006: Added a new track, "Sleep Is The Enemy."

May 19th, 2006: Added a short video of a drum solo to the Visuals section. Warning: this video includes cheesy metal faces, sideburns, and the complete and utter destruction of various percussive objects.

May 17th, 2006: For all three of you who actually still check this site, I've finished tracking the third Sutureself CD "You Were the Sea," and over the following weeks and months I'll be posting new tracks as I finish mixing them. Check out the first track, "Crime Scene for Two," which Todd Bryanton recently praised as "quite possibly the greatest song in the history of recorded music." And if you're new to the site, be sure to check out all the other mp3s in the music section. And send me an email. Validate my existence!
